Experience
Three years as a substitute teacher and AVID Tutor with Harford County Public Schools in Maryland. Two years as an online essay evaluator, helping teachers prepare for the essay portions of the New York Teacher's Certification Test. Have several student references to prove how good I am at what I do! :) My approach is one of encouragement and patience. I never give up on a student, and they KNOW IT! I like to incorporate laughter and fun into learning, yet I stay very focused on the task at hand. I'm very good at simplifying instructions and bringing clarity to the student quite rapidly. My students are always grateful they have had me to help them, and gain tremendous confidence because I provide CONSTANT encouragement in a very "upbeat" fashion.
